I’ve been studying music most of my life! In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Snow College, with an emphasis in piano and vocal performance. I’ve been happily teaching ever since - about five years now!
I’m also a singer-songwriter; I love to write and perform my own music.
-
My rate is $70/hr and I offer lessons in increments of 30 ($35), 45 ($53), or 60 ($70) minutes.

You’ll be billed on the 1st of each month for that month’s lessons. Your credit card on file will be charged automatically, using a secure payment processor called Stripe.
-
If you know before the 1st of the month (our studio billing date) that you can’t attend a lesson, simply let me know and I’ll remove it from our calendar so you’re not billed for it.
If the 1st of the month has already passed, you can still cancel if needed. Simply select the lesson on your student portal calendar and click cancel. If at least 24 hours’ notice was provided, you’ll receive a make-up credit that can be used to book an open lesson slot within 30 days. If less than 24 hours’ notice was provided, the lesson will not be rescheduled or refunded.

This is where you’ll go to view or reschedule upcoming lessons, log practice time, join virtual lessons, view lesson notes, download online resources, and more. It can be accessed here, or at the top of this page, under Songbyrd Studios. (You’ll receive an email with your login information a few minutes after registering.)

Yes! Recitals give students something to work toward and a chance to showcase their progress! We hold two recitals per year for in-person students. Additionally, we celebrate smaller accomplishments like passing off a song or hitting a practice goal with treats and prizes.
-
I use the Faber Piano Adventures series for piano lessons. Once a student completes these, we move on to classical and contemporary repertoire of their choosing.
For voice lessons, I use the Kenneth H. Phillips technique curriculum, accompanied by songs of the student’s choosing.
-
I use a video conferencing platform called Rock Out Loud Live for virtual lessons. It has incredible audio and is very easy to use — it was made especially for music lessons!
