At Songbyrd Studios, I aim for every lesson to be a positive and engaging experience for the student. Yes, practice is important, and yes, excellent technique is a top priority, but never at the expense of a student’s love for music!

I’ve been studying piano most of my life! In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Snow College. I’ve been happily teaching ever since - about six years now.
I’m also a singer-songwriter; I love to write and perform my own music.

$35 per 30-minute lesson.

Families are billed on the 1st of each month for that month’s lessons. Their credit card on file is charged automatically, using a secure payment processor called Stripe.

If a student knows before the 1st of the month (our studio billing date) they can’t attend a lesson, they simply let me know and I remove it from our calendar so they’re not billed for it.
If the 1st of the month has already passed, a student can still cancel if needed. A refund will be applied to their account as long as 24 hours notice was provided.

Yes! Recitals give students something to work toward and a chance to showcase their progress! We hold two per year.

I use the Faber Piano Adventures method books as the foundation of my curriculum. It gives students a wonderfully well-rounded musical education from the very beginning. Once a student completes the series, we move on to classical and contemporary repertoire of their choosing.
